[Bleatmop remarked: “A disbelief in god or gods does not automatically assume a belief that there is no gods.”

A disbelief or belief is a matter of faith in either case. You are in the spectrum of confused.]

Yet, it should not be a blind faith; blind faith is similar as disbelief.

    • To the point of wanting to know what love is the LDS way, people do not / will not have sex in Heaven, nor are they going to be pregnant in Heaven.

To wit, if John & Co. wish to write with some authority about the “infallible logic about Christianity” you might want to get some of it right prior to applying your own “infallible logic”. Doing that, the mist will lift slowly so that you can see the way ahead and attain your wildest dreams – out there somewhere.

      • Remarkable what you have done. You have hijacked this blog to criticize the Mormon faith using anything but Mormon websites to do it. It’s this stuff that has ALWAYS brought people to authentically investigate The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That’s why we are the fastest growing Christian Church the world. This stuff just doesn’t square with what good people know we are in the real world. The authority of LDS doctrine ain’t coming from this website or the the link you provided. People aren’t generally stupid.

You endorse Mormon criticism from those who make a living on preaching what you and I know is nonsense and to frequently dangerous.

The last book I read before being baptize in the LDS Church at 35 years old was “The GodMakers”, the most celebrated anti-Mormon text written.

      • Oh, I see now, Robin. There will be no male or female in your heavens, planets, worlds. Mormon spirit men will not have several spirit wives to produce spirit babies. Thanks for the clarification. 😉

“Monogamy, or restrictions by law to one wife, is no part of the economy of heaven among men. Such a system was commenced by the founders of the Roman empire. . . . Rome became the mistress of the world, and introduced this order of monogamy wherever her sway was acknowledged. Thus this monogamic order of marriage, so esteemed by modern Christians as a holy sacrament and divine institution, is nothing but a system established by a set of robbers. . . .

Why do we believe in and practice polygamy? Because the Lord introduced it to his servants in a revelation given to Joseph Smith, and the Lord’s servants have always practiced it. “And is that religion popular in heaven?” It is the only popular religion there.” (Brigham Young — Deseret News, August 6, 1862)

So how are you god dudes going to inpregnate your wimmin folk? Spiritual sperm and penises?

      • That’s right, Robin, blame the woman. 😉

One of the songs taught to young children is Follow the Prophet!, with nine verses, and the refrain, repeated after each verse.

        Follow the prophet,
        Follow the prophet,
        Follow the prophet,
        Don’t go astray!
        Follow the prophet,
        Follow the prophet,
        Follow the prophet,
        He knows the way.

You see Robin the key to brainwashing and/or mind control is repetition, repetition, repetition. The brain is plastic, meaning it’s malleable, and especially in young children. Why young children? Because they are generally suggestible alpha/theta brain wave state. We evolved this propensity so that children would listen to their primary caregivers and teachers — for survival’s sake. But religions like yours have used this to their advantage.

The more you repeat something the more neural pathways are created and the more neural pathways are created the more they network, and the more they network, the harder it is to prune (atrophy), which is why so many have a difficult time realizing they are under a spell.

Why don’t you share why you became an LDS. What rewards drew you in? Becoming a god? Having authority over women? Guaranteed alpha male status? Do share. Because I can tell you Mr. Robin, that if you think LDS has the dibs on morality, you are one blind dude. Perhaps you’ve been wanking off a little too much or do you coerce your woman to have sex with you because that’s your god-given right as the alpha male and head of the family?

The only reason you are not fucking more than one woman is because polygamy is against the law in the U.S. Or are you fucking more than one woman in “holy” matrimony with the blessings of your god? Oh, are your holy ears offended by that word? Or does the sound of that word it make your manhood throb a little. 😉

“Polygamy was officially suspended by the President of the church in 1890, twenty-eight years after polygamy was declared illegal by the U.S. government, and thirteen years after a U.S. court had ruled that polygamous marriages were not valid” (Wallace 368).

You see, Robin, sex is not a bad thing. Not what so ever. But it is when men assume that women don’t have the same rights to have multiple partners. Fuck to your heart’s content if you like Women should have the same right. Be responsible. Use a condom, and don’t over-populate the world, as you continue to do.

Heber C. Kimball ( one of the original twelve apostles) said, “I think no more of taking another wife than I do of buying a cow” (Wallace 101).

The Qur’an only talks about paradise: “Verily, for the Muttaqun[righteous], there will be a success (paradise); gardens and grapeyards; and young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age; and a full cup (of wine)” (An-Naba 78:31-34).

These are the attributes of these virgins, from wiki:

      Physical Attributes:
      • Wide and beautiful/lovely eyes
      • Like pearls
      • Hairless except the eye brows and the head
      • Big Boobs
      • Beautiful

      • Eternally young
      • Companions of equal age

      Sexual Attributes:
      • Untouched / with hymen unbroken by sexual intercourse
      • Virgins
      • Voluptuous/full-breasted
      • With large, round breasts which are not inclined to hang
      • Appetizing vaginas

      Personality Attributes:
      • Chaste
      • Restraining their glances

      • Non-menstruating / non-urinating/ non-defecating and childfree

I’m currently performing an experiment with my grandson while he sleeps by playing Robert Plant’s “Addicted to Love” while he sleeps. But I think it has backfired. My wife at 64 is now pregnant and I am constantly feeling I need to feed the snake into the toilet. My grandson at 2 is now no longer wanting to wear his briefs, needing to strut his stuff. But I think this is just a phase unassociated with this very appealing music.

Do you know how to do that? When you get an email notification that I replied to you, click on “reply” and leave your comment. I will be notified. If you are doing that, then perhaps there’s a WP glitch. As I mentioned earlier, I am not getting a direct notification from you that you are directing your post at me.

Did you read the link I shared? The part where your prophet had 30+ wives and was also married young teens and married women? Did you teach your children to follow the prophet, follow the prophet, follow the prophet, follow the prophet or was that follow the profit, follow the profit, follow the profit, follow the profit?

Btw, I should mention that psychologist and psychiatrist have been educated on how to counsel unhappy Mormon women. That would be them, yes. Idiocracy at its finest.

“Narrator: As the 21st century began, human evolution was at a turning point. Natural selection, the process by which the strongest, the smartest, the fastest, reproduced in greater numbers than the rest, a process which had once favored the noblest traits of man, now began to favor different traits.

Most science fiction of the day predicted a future that was more civilized and more intelligent. But as time went on, things seemed to be heading in the opposite direction. A dumbing down. How did this happen? Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to simply reward those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an endangered species.”

After quoting lines from the sci-fi satire Idiology, a colossal box office failure accumulating $50K total international revenue, he proposes a new scientific law from the movie: violating THE RULE proposed earlier by John. Neuron proposes that humans are evolving dumber because humans no longer have predators and intelligence is not rewarded evolutionally. As THE RULE requires, you have some proof to offer. the burden of proof is yours.

    On another point:
Since when is Mormon polygamy unintelligent since so many practice serial polygyny, serial polyandry and that serial “other stuff” you enjoy.

    • Say what? LOL Robin, you slay me. It doesn’t surprise me that you didn’t get it. The move may have not done as well at the box office, with around $500,000K, but it made more than $9M in DVD sales and rentals.

“There are many factors to consider when a great film doesn’t turn a large profit. Idiocracy does not appear to have done well financially despite being one of the funniest satires of American consumer culture ever produced. Idiocracy is so bold and so outrageous that it could potentially have alienated its own potential audience.

The main thrust of Idiocracy is to shine a light on our short-term priorities and our culture’s lack of foresight as society today expands and devours up the planet’s resources converting everything into large monuments of trash. Judge also accounts for the reckless breeding where the uneducated pop out more and more children. This reproductive recklessness is arguably the cornerstone of the other intractable problems. As population explodes natural resources will disappear.”

“Evolution has shifted such that stupid people breed like rabbits, and the smarter ones tend not to. Long term trending in this direction produces a stupid society which will eventually collapse under its own weight: pretty straightforward line of reasoning.”
      http://www.counterpunch.org/2011/06/03/idiocracy-2006-re-visited/

So it really doesn’t surprise me that someone like you doesn’t get it but believes in getting it up as often as possible to continue to over-populate the world.

      Bravo!

    • “Modern apologists of ‘Islam’ try to downplay the evident materialism and sexual implications of such descriptions, but, as the Encyclopaedia of Islam says, even orthodox Muslim theologians such as al Ghazali (died 1111 CE) and Al-Ash’ari (died 935 CE) have “admitted sensual pleasures into paradise”.

In fact, the sensual pleasures are graphically described in detail by Al-Suyuti
(died 1505 ), Quranic commentator and polymath. He wrote:

“Each time we sleep with a houri we find her virgin. Besides, the penis of the Elected never softens. The erection is eternal; the sensation that you feel each time you make love is utterly delicious and out of this world and were you to experience it in this world you would faint. Each chosen one [ie Muslim] will marry seventy [sic] houris, besides the women he married on earth, and all will have appetising vaginas.”

      http://www.inthenameofallah.org/Quran%27s%20Physical%20Paradise.html

You see, Paar. what Islam does is take our most basic human instincts and magnifies them in Islamic paradise. Your playmates will be “remade” into virgins after you fuck them, so that you will take her/them again and again as virgins. In other words, Parr, women in your promise land of paradise, milk, wine, and gluttony, are nothing more than a play thing for your eternal erection. The only difference between being on earth and in paradise is that once you pop her cherry, Allah will magically reinstate it.

It is unreal that we are living in the 21st century and the Abrahamic religions are still alive and well. It really does show you just how easily programmable humans are, and especially because these religions toy with our most basic instincts and fears. And the religious hierarchy are laughing all the way to the bank. It really pisses me off to know they have been conned, which is why I have sometimes come across as sounding rude in this debate.

      • Correction: I have yet to meet or read from a Muslim man who doesn’t believe there will be delicious, desiring, virginal women, etc, awaiting them in paradise.

Otherwise, Paar, you have no incentive, no reward. You believe because you get rewarded to believe. Your death anxiety is curtailed, and your most basic human instincts fulfilled in paradise. The Abrahamic religions are one of the most cunning religions of all time. I know you don’t see this. You’ve been wired, literally, to be blinded by this.

I know many Mormons who are also vegetarians and believe in the virtues of not eating meat. So that you can rationalize your biases, these variants must be doctrine.

One point that should be noted is that all religions of my acquaintance believe what awaits them in paradise is beyond their own human conception. All points made of it by us are therefore metaphor. We reach for the inconceivable through metaphor.

Within the sacred writings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you can find references to “mansions in Heaven” already prepared for us. You would be foolish to attest that we believe heaven to be a living abode in heaven that some people already enjoy in their human experience.

      • “Atheist speech found here is hate speech related to the spirit of the law.”

Robin, have we struck a nerve? You are loyal to a profit, I mean prophet who horded at least 30 women, some of them in their early teens, and some of them already married to other men.

Do not get all self-righteous about morality. You chose this religion, this denomination. Like Islam, your denomination promotes polygamy in heaven. Like Islam, the women are only allowed to have one husband. The only reason it’s not practice in the open (though some are doing it — See the TV reality show “Sister Wives”), the only reason you are not practicing it is because it’s illegal in the U.S.

Just to show you how selfish your belief system is, as well as Islam, as of 2014, the global sex ratio at birth is estimated at 107 boys to 100 girls (934 girls per 1000 boys). In Islam, men are allowed up to 4 wives. You do the math.

Keep a shortage of women, and promise that they will have as many “perfect” wives in paradise and you will find an appealing religion. Why? Because not every man will find a mate due to the imbalance most often caused by religion and a preference to have males over females in many cultures. This leads to sex trafficking (an epidemic), rape (an epidemic) and a number of other social ills.

In the article “Peace Among Primates”, Dr. Robert Sapolsky studied the behaviors of savanna baboons, in particular, the Forest Troop baboons, for over 2 decades. What came from the study was that when the troops had more females than males, and less alpha males (that horded resources), the troops were more peaceful. When there were more males than females, the highly stratified males warred and bullied the less dominate male baboons. The less dominate baboons, (beta males) turned their frustrations on the females, abusing them. This wasn’t the case when there were fewer alpha males in the troop, and fewer males in general. But what he also discovered was that these males could learn to behave themselves (brain plasticity). No god was needed. He said in the article that the troop created a baboon utopia after half the alpha males died from eating tainted meat when in turn produced nicer males and more welcoming females (not as fearful of the males).
        http://greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/peace_among_primates

So, do we change our habits and devalue human males like has happened to females over the last couple of thousand years? Because we have solid evidence that males are, for the most part, the primary cause of the social ills we see in society. Or do we drop primitive, male dominated belief systems that encourage Othering and hyper-masculinity, and educate about our biology, our hormones/neurotransmitters, gene expression, brain plasticity, and how the environment (especially culture) intertwines and plays a major role in the stability of our species?

Non-believers do not hate you. We are simply fed up with you choosing to remain ignorant about the nature of reality, and enslaved by your base passions, fears, insecurities, and death anxiety.

Q44:51-54 As to the Righteous they will be among Gardens and Springs and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes

Q56:11-37 These will be those brought to Allah In Gardens of Bliss… water flowing constantly, and companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes… We made them virgin pure and undefiled, Lovers, equals in age.

Sahih Bukhari 6:402: Allah’s Apostle said, ‘In Paradise there is a pavilion made of a single hollow pearl sixty miles wide, in each corner there are wives who will not see those in the other corners; and the believers will visit and enjoy them all.'”

[2:26] And give glad tidings to those who believe and do good works, that for them are Gardens beneath which flow streams. Whenever they are given a portion of fruit therefrom, they will say: ‘This is what was given us before,’ and gifts mutually resembling shall be brought to them. And they will have therein mates perfectly pure, and therein will they abide.
[2:27] Allah disdains not to give an illustration as small as a gnat or even smaller. Those who believe know that it is the truth from their Lord, while those who disbelieve say: ‘What does Allah mean by such an illustration?’ Many does He adjudge by it to be erring and many by it does He guide, and none does He adjudge thereby to be erring except the disobedient,

And since man was created polygamous by nature, one of the rewards which The All Knowing and All Wise Lord has promised the fortunate men of Paradise is the companionship of many chaste, beautiful, and obedient wives in that Eternal Abode of the Hereafter.” http://www.islamhelpline.net/node/4313

Now, what’s interesting about this is that there is a phenomena in many species (more common in males than females) including humans called the “Coolidge Effect”. “The Coolidge effect is a phenomenon seen in mammalian species whereby males (and to a lesser extent females) exhibit renewed sexual interest if introduced to new receptive sexual partners,] even after refusing sex from prior but still available sexual partners.”

This is a primal urge intended to diversify the gene pool. But — this can create sexual addictions, and it’s been shown in labs that rats will copulate with a variety of females until they nearly die of exhaustion. This is what Allah is promising men — lots and lots and lots of dopamine, but apparently they won’t die.
        ————————————-
“When you drop a male rat into a cage with a receptive female rat, you see an initial frenzy of copulation. Then, progressively, the male tires of that particular female. Even without an apparent change in her receptivity he reaches a point where he has little libido-and simply ignores her.

However, if you replace the original female with a fresh one, the male immediately revives and begins copulating again. You can repeat this process with fresh females until the rat nearly dies of exhaustion. The rat’s renewed vigor does not reflect an increase in his wellbeing – although it will look (and temporarily feel to him) that way. His vigor comes from surges of a neurochemical called dopamine, which flood the reward circuitry of his primitive brain… so that he gets the job done.”

The Coolidge Effect has been observed in all mammals that have been tested. Scientists have observed it in females too. Female rodents, for example, flirt a lot more – arching in inviting displays – with unfamiliar partners than with those with which they’ve already copulated.” http://www.reuniting.info/science/coolidge_effect

  9. Really? I find that an interesting statement, David.

You believe Jesus is god, correct?
You believe only Jesus can save, correct?
You believe only Jesus can judge, correct?
You believe, therefore, only Jesus can punish, correct?

So, by all means, please point out where you think the meme is mistaken….
